One Source Records was founded by 3 song writing, performing & recording artists with a dream to change the music industry standard of label driven contracts that leave the artists consistently owing the record label even if an album doesn’t produce the desired sales. Most new artists signing on to a label in today’s industry, have literally no say-so on what happens with their musical creation. With over 20 years of experience in the music business combined, performing artists Anthony J, & Jzanell Jordan learned about most aspects of the music business first-hand, including writing and touring. Together, they decided to use their gained knowledge and experience to help other artists understand how the business of music works so each signed artist has a hand in the creation of their project from start to finish. 

Eventually, connections were made to support The dream of discovering new ways to make the business of music easier to understand is quickly expanding. To keep up with pace of music’s’ ever-changing landscape, the business and marketing experience of Ranell and know-how of the IT & finance guru Kurt Hutchinson was added to the One Source Entertainments owners circle. 

Together, these 5 music-business minds decided they would proceed with the goal of changing the way artists view the music industry. One Source Entertainment is working to make opportunities for artists to educate themselves in the business of music, in an effort, to elevate the idea of signing on to a record label.
